Lavras do Sul Celebrates Mining Past and Present with Lavras Gold Corp.

Lavras do Sul, a Brazilian town with a rich mining history, is celebrating its past and present. Lavras Gold Corp., a Canadian exploration company, is at the forefront of these festivities. The company, focused on unlocking the gold potential of the region, is sponsoring the Geophysics Day Celebration on October 10, 2021, alongside major sponsor Petrobras.

Lavras do Sul, located in Rio Grande do Sul, is home to the LDS Project, a vast area of approximately 23,000 hectares. This project is centered around the LDS intrusive complex, a multiphase intrusive center surrounded by coeval volcanic rocks. The town's mining history dates back to 1932, when the first geophysics surveys in Brazil were undertaken here.

The Cerrito and Butiá gold deposits, both within the LDS Project, hold significant resources. The Cerrito deposit has an indicated and inferred resource of 471,000 ounces of gold, while the Butiá deposit has a measured and indicated resource of 377,000 ounces. Lavras Gold Corp. is proud to be part of this mining legacy, contributing to the community through initiatives like Rota do Ouro and Project Viver.

Lavras do Sul continues to celebrate its mining history, with Lavras Gold Corp. playing a significant role in its present and future. The company's commitment to the community and the region's gold potential is evident in its sponsorship of the Geophysics Day Celebration and its ongoing exploration efforts.
