Breadstack Solutions, a global leader in e-commerce enablement, is seeking a skilled and experienced Tech Lead for its WordPress Development team. This remote role offers the opportunity to lead a team of developers, architect and drive the evolution of Breadstack's WordPress ecosystem, and serve as the technical authority on all related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor a talented team of WordPress developers, ensuring best practices and high technical standards in engineering.
- Act as the "developer of last resort," resolving complex technical challenges that may arise.
- Architect and drive the evolution of Breadstack's WordPress ecosystem, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver scalable and robust e-commerce solutions.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have extensive experience in WordPress development and engineering leadership.
- Strong technical skills are essential, with familiarity in CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are a must.
- The ability to mentor and lead a team effectively is crucial.
- Candidates should be skilled at managing priorities under pressure and navigating ambiguous situations.
Preferred Working Hours:
The preferred working hours for this role are from 2 AM to 10 AM PT, Monday-Friday.
Reporting Structure:
The Tech Lead will report to the Director of Technology in the Web Engineering department.

Technical Skills:
The Tech Lead is expected to master a wide range of technical skills, including PHP, SQL, WordPress API (including REST), ACF/ACF Blocks, JavaScript, Node.js, Gulp, npm, CSS frameworks, Composer, JSON, 3rd-party API integrations, Git CLI, MVC/OOP principles, SSH & Linux command-line workflows, Jira, and CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be a clear, confident technical communicator, empathetic mentor, and will consistently raise the technical bar. They will have excellent written and verbal English skills.
