Leaked play store detail reveals entire lineup of Google's Pixel 10 series
The tech world is abuzz with anticipation as Google prepares to launch its latest offering, the Pixel 10 series. While the exact release date remains unclear, the promotion seems set to run until October 13, with an expected launch in August 2023.
In a recent development, a tipster named AssembleDebug discovered an image of the Pixel 10 series through the Play Store's code. The image, published by Android Authority, allegedly shows the base model of the Pixel 10 series in a rumored "indigo" colour, and other phones in a Moonstone colour, which Google has officially teased.
According to the leaked information, the Pixel 10 series is expected to come in a variety of colours. For the base Pixel 10 model, the rumoured colours are Obsidian (dark grey/black), Indigo (royal blue), Frost (silver with a slight blue tint), and Limoncello (yellow-green). Notably, Porcelain (white) has been dropped for the Pixel 10 model.
For the Pro and Pro XL models, leaks suggest that they may come in colours like Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, and Smoky Green, with the Fold variant likely offering Sterling Gray and Smoky Green. However, it's important to note that these colours are yet to be officially confirmed by Google.
The Pixel 10 series is also rumoured to include a third lens on the base model, a departure from previous models. The leaked rendering suggests Google is preparing a $50 off deal for users, though the details are unclear. Previously, Google has offered phone deals through Best Buy, Walmart, Samsung, Amazon, Verizon, and AT&T, but no official deals for the Pixel 10 series have been announced yet.
In terms of design, the Pixel 10 colours look bolder and more saturated than previous generations, particularly with Indigo being a standout royal blue shade not seen since the original Pixel in 2016. Leaks for the Pro and Fold versions highlight mostly grayish and dark toned colours.
The Pixel 10 series is expected to retain the flat screen, flat sides, rounded corners, and thick camera bar design from the Pixel 9 series. The key specifications for the Pixel 10 include a triple camera setup: 48 MP main camera, 12 MP ultrawide, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens. Powered by Google’s Tensor G5 SoC, the Pixel 10 is expected to be a powerful addition to Google's lineup.
Google has officially teased the Pixel 10 series, and one of its devices was shown ahead of its August 20 launch. The highest storage option for the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL is rumoured to be 1TB, but only for the Obsidian variant.
The Pixel 10 series will be unveiled at Google's "Made by Google" event scheduled for August 20 at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET, where the Pixel 10 series, along with "watches, buds, and more" will be unveiled. While the rumours about the Pixel 10 series' colours should be taken with a grain of salt, as they have not been officially confirmed by Google, the excitement surrounding the launch is palpable.
