Planar's LED Solutions Shine Bright in NBC Sports' 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Studio
Planar's state-of-the-art LED video walls are set to make their debut in NBC Sports' Primetime studio during the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. This marks a significant milestone, as Planar's LED display technology will be featured in Paris for the first time in NBC Sports' broadcast.

Planar's LED video walls are designed to provide superior precision for unrivaled image detail. This makes them ideal for high-quality video displays, background visuals, and virtual sets, which enhance the visual presentation of live sports coverage. For NBC Sports' Olympic broadcast, Planar's LED technology would likely be employed to provide vibrant, seamless video walls and graphics both on-site at venues and in studio productions, improving viewer engagement and production quality.
Planar has been a long-time partner of NBC Sports, having supported their production efforts at various international sports events since 2016. Atila Ozkaplan, VP of production operations, Olympics, expressed his excitement about continuing to work with Planar. NBC Sports will use Planar's LED solutions extensively for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. In the Primetime studio, a Planar DirectLight Pro Series LED video wall in a 1.2mm pixel pitch will be the centrepiece. Additionally, an outdoor Planar Luminate Ultra Series LED video wall in a 1.5mm pixel pitch will also be used in NBC Sports' production. These solutions are expected to elevate storytelling and provide unmatched viewing experiences for viewers around the world.
