LG's New UltraFine evo 6K Monitor: High Resolution, Vibrant Colors, Competitive Price

LG is set to launch its new UltraFine evo 6K monitor, the 32U990A-S, in Germany by late October. Priced at €1,999, it undercuts Dell's UltraSharp U3224KBA and offers impressive features.

The 32U990A-S boasts a resolution of 6144 x 3456 pixels, surpassing both LG's UltraFine 5K models and the Dell competitor. It uses LG's Nano IPS Black panel, delivering darker blacks and higher contrasts than standard IPS panels. The monitor covers 99.5 percent Adobe RGB and 98 percent DCI-P3 color gamut with 10-bit gradation, ensuring vibrant and accurate colors.

The monitor's stand allows for height adjustment, rotation up to 90 degrees, and tilt. It also includes a KVM switch for easy source switching with shared peripherals. Connectivity options are plentiful, featuring two Thunderbolt 5 ports (with DisplayPort 2.1 and 96-watt charging), HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. The backlight achieves a uniform 450 cd/m2, temporarily peaking at 600 cd/m2 to meet VESA DisplayHDR 600 standards. Additionally, the monitor can be mounted on third-party stands using a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm).

LG's UltraFine evo 6K monitor (32U990A-S) offers a compelling blend of high resolution, vibrant colors, and versatile connectivity at a competitive price. It is expected to hit German markets by late October.
