Lotus Unveils Evija Electric Hypercar, Outpacing Rimac Nevera
Lotus has unveiled the Evija, a revolutionary electric hypercar that outpaces the Rimac Nevera and offers an unparalleled driving experience. Priced at €2 million, it's relatively affordable for its class.
The Evija's power is astounding: 2000 HP and 1700 Nm, offering a range of nearly 350 kilometers. Its battery pack, centrally placed behind the seats, allows for 90 kWh of capacity. Despite its immense power, the Evija is significantly lighter than its peers, weighing nearly 1700 kg, making it agile and responsive.
Acceleration is unlike anything else. It feels like a rocket launch or fighter jet take-off, with power increasing with speed and air pressure. The Evija generates 1500 kg of downforce at full speed, ensuring its colossal power is brought to the road. Unlike other electric cars, it offers a real feel for speed, with no synthetic sound or isolation.
The Evija, developed at Lotus Cars' Hethel headquarters with Geely's backing, is more than just a hypercar. It's a testament to Lotus' engineering prowess, offering unmatched performance, agility, and an authentic driving experience. Though surpassed in power by the Yangwang U9 Xtreme, it remains a formidable force in the world of hypercars.
