It also integrates a keyboard drawer, built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and various connectivity options such as etherCON, USB, MIDI, and DisplayPort for external screens.

The console's key technical highlights include 6 DMX512 outputs, 1 DMX input, internal multi-touch command and control screens (multiple types), 41 to 71 rotary RGB backlit encoders depending on model, 15 to 30 motorized 60 mm faders, 60 to 120 independent playbacks, 16 assignable X-keys, silent (clickless), dimmable backlit keys, integrated keyboard drawer and UPS, support for multiple external multi-touch screens, and extensive connector options supporting rich interfacing.

The grandMA3 was met with positive reactions from industry professionals at the Prolight + Sound 2018 fair. It was praised for its scalability, modern user interface with flexible multi-touch screens, and vast parameter control suited for the most demanding live productions and events. The upgraded hardware and software integration enabled complex show control and seamless connectivity, which was welcomed by lighting professionals who value reliability and adaptability.

The grandMA3 ecosystem also includes remote control apps, such as grandMA3 Remote (G3Link), allowing wireless operational flexibility on site, which was positively noted for improving user workflows.
