Mercedes-Benz India Reports Record Luxury Sales, Driven by Top-End Models and Bespoke Customisation

Mercedes-Benz India has reported record-breaking sales, with its top-end luxury vehicles and core luxury segment performing exceptionally well. The company's bespoke customisation programme has also seen significant growth.

The 'Top-End Luxury' category, featuring models like Mercedes-Maybach, S-Class, GLS, AMG G63, and EQS SUV, achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in September 2025. This success was driven by the overwhelming customer response following GST 2.0 reforms and pent-up demand.

The bespoke manufaktur customisation programme has gained immense popularity, with 75 per cent of top-end luxury vehicles now sold through this programme. Mercedes-Benz's retail network sold an impressive 5,119 units in Q2 FY25-26, marking its best-ever quarterly performance. The company expects this positive momentum to continue through the Diwali period, buoyed by strong consumer sentiment and a diverse product portfolio.

The AMG G63, despite a lengthy waiting period, posted its highest-ever monthly sales with a 12 per cent YoY increase. The E-Class Long Wheelbase remained the core luxury segment's best-seller, registering a 47 per cent YoY growth in Q2 FY25-26. Mercedes-Benz sold over 2,500 units during the 9-day Navratri period, setting a new record for sales during a single festive phase.

Cumulatively, Mercedes-Benz sold 9,357 units in the April-September FY25-26 period, reflecting a 4 per cent year-on-year increase. The 'Core Luxury' segment, accounting for 60 per cent of Mercedes-Benz India's total sales, grew by 10 per cent in Q2 FY25-26. With strong sales momentum and a robust product portfolio, Mercedes-Benz India is well-positioned for continued success.
