Missouri State Student Arrested for Vandalizing 17 Vehicles

A Missouri State University student, Ryan Schaefer, has been arrested for allegedly vandalizing 17 vehicles in a university parking lot. Schaefer, a sophomore, is currently being held at the Greene County jail and faces restrictions on alcohol and drug access.

The incident occurred when Schaefer allegedly caused significant damage to the vehicles, including shattered windshields, ripped off wiper blades, dented hoods, and broken side mirrors. Multiple witnesses identified Schaefer as the likely culprit after reviewing surveillance footage. Police had also gathered evidence from his apartment, suggesting his involvement in the crime.

Investigators discovered Schaefer's location at the scene of the crime during the vandalism through a Google conversation. Schaefer admitted to the vandalism in the conversation, expressing concern about getting caught. However, his interactions with the AI did not indicate AI psychosis.

Schaefer has been barred from alcohol-serving establishments and possessing drugs or alcohol. His case is ongoing, and no information is available about a detective or police officer specifically assigned to investigate it. The university and local authorities are cooperating to ensure the safety of students and the community.
