New Bugatti Model, Brouillard, Flaunts Green Tartan Upholstery and Equine Embellishments
The ultra-luxe car brand Bugatti has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the Bugatti Brouillard, marking the debut of Bugatti's exclusive in-house coachbuilding division, Programme Solitaire. This one-of-a-kind hypercar is a testament to Bugatti's rich legacy and its exceptional design and manufacturing capabilities.
Features and Specifications
The Bugatti Brouillard is powered by the famous 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, producing approximately 1,578 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft (around 1,600 Nm) of torque. With AWD and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, the car accelerates from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in about 2.3–2.5 seconds and boasts a limited top speed of roughly 420–425 km/h (261 mph or above 282 mph unofficially).
The Brouillard's design is as impressive as its performance. It features a sleek coupe roofline over a carbon fiber chassis, with pronounced rear wheel arches, a fixed ducktail style rear spoiler, and machined aluminum roof air intakes reminiscent of the Veyron. The aerodynamic elements are more aggressively shaped than the Mistral’s to improve airflow and stability, aided by stacked round exhaust tips similar to the Chiron Super Sport.
The interior blends heritage and modern luxury, incorporating custom-woven Parisian tartan fabric, green-tinted carbon fiber, and machined aluminum accents. Notably, the gear shifter houses a miniature sculpture of Ettore Bugatti’s horse, Brouillard, reflecting the founder's personal legacy. The panoramic glass roof adds a "cathedral-like" ambiance, and equestrian motifs run throughout the design and branding.
Naming Inspiration
The name Brouillard means "fog" in French, but it honors Ettore Bugatti's prized horse named Brouillard, linking Bugatti’s racing heritage and founder's history to the car's theme.
Programme Solitaire Context
Programme Solitaire is an in-house coachbuilding division that produces only a very limited number (two per year) of fully bespoke hypercars. The Brouillard is the inaugural creation of this ultra-exclusive program.
Display at Monterey Car Week
The Brouillard will be displayed at Monterey Car Week this month, giving car enthusiasts a chance to witness this stunning masterpiece in person. For those who cannot attend, an image gallery is available on Bugatti's official website.
