New Electric Scooter, the Tesseract, Debuts in India for 1.20 Lakh Rupees by Ultraviolette
Ultraviolette Automotive, an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, has made a significant stride in the world of electric mobility with the launch of its first electric scooter, the Tesseract.
The Tesseract, boasting a sleek and dynamic design with maxi-scooter influence, is set to redefine the electric scooter segment. Ultraviolette claims it to be the most advanced electric scooter in the world.
The base-spec Tesseract 3.5 comes equipped with a 3.5 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 162 km. For those seeking a longer range, the mid-spec Tesseract 5 boasts a 5 kWh battery pack, promising a claimed range of 220 km. The top-tier Tesseract 6, on the other hand, boasts a 6 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 261 km on a full charge.
The Tesseract's console is a 7-inch touchscreen, larger than what is available on the F77 motorcycles, providing riders with an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
The Tesseract is not just about range and technology; it's about performance too. With an electric motor producing 20.11 bhp, the Tesseract can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in a mere 2.9 seconds. The electric scooter also features dual disc brakes, traction control, dynamic stability control, and dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety and control.
The Tesseract offers ample storage space, with a 12-litre pannier and a 34-litre boot, ensuring riders have enough space for their daily essentials.
The Tesseract is priced competitively, with the base-spec model priced at ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, India). However, the first 10,000 customers will enjoy a special offer, getting the Tesseract at ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Pre-bookings for the Tesseract will commence on March 5 for a token amount of ₹999. Deliveries of the Tesseract are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
With its impressive range, cutting-edge technology, and competitive pricing, the Tesseract is poised to make a significant impact in the electric scooter market. Whether you're a daily commuter or an enthusiast, the Tesseract offers an electric riding experience like no other.
