North Rhine-Westphalia's defense technology sector recently gathered at the 'Innovation Center' in Buederich for a DefenseTech Incubator.NRW event. Around 80 representatives from diverse sectors attended, exploring technological demands and ethical questions surrounding defense technology. The event was organized by the 1st Mover Management agency's initiative and hosted by the Rhein-Kreis Neuss's economic development agency, led by Robert Abts. Central supporters included the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Düsseldorf, NRW.Bank, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia. Stavros Messinis discussed the challenges and opportunities of defense startups, using drones as an example. Dr. Benedikt Kamann delved into the complexity of the legal framework in the defense industry.
