Obita & YY Group Partner to Boost Financial Services for Gig Workers Worldwide

Hong Kong-based fintech company Obita has partnered with Singapore's YY Group to enhance financial services for gig workers worldwide. The collaboration, announced at the PayFi Summit during TOKEN2049 Singapore, aims to improve access to faster, lower-cost payouts and stablecoin savings options.

Obita, specialising in stablecoin-based payment infrastructure, will integrate its technology into YY Group's workforce platforms. This will enable gig workers to hold savings in fiat-backed stablecoins, mitigating currency volatility. The platform also offers enterprise-level controls like role-based approvals and real-time transaction monitoring for secure management.

The partnership seeks to boost financial access in emerging markets, with Obita's infrastructure streamlining cross-border settlements while maintaining regulatory compliance. YY Group, a global workforce solutions provider, will utilise Obita's technology to manage cross-border capital flows more efficiently, including intra-group financing and loan repayments.

Obita and YY Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on improving financial services for gig workers. The integration of Obita's stablecoin-based payment infrastructure into YY Group's platforms aims to provide faster, lower-cost payouts and stablecoin savings options, enhancing financial access and efficiency in cross-border capital flows.
