Partnership Established Between MHP and QuantumBW
In a strategic move to foster the development of quantum technologies, MHP Management and IT Consulting GmbH has entered into a partnership with QuantumBW. This collaboration aims to open up new application areas for quantum technologies, particularly quantum computing, within Baden-Württemberg.
The partnership is part of an initiative by the state of Baden-Württemberg to explore new application areas for quantum technologies. It brings together academic research and business practice, with the goal of benefiting clients and building a future-ready innovation ecosystem.
The collaboration involves 38 participating organizations, including 21 leading companies from Baden-Württemberg, ten renowned universities and colleges, and other institutions such as the Fraunhofer Society and the Max Planck Society. QuantumBW, one of five innovation campuses in Baden-Württemberg, brings together basic research, applied research, industrial development, and application.
MHP, with its extensive experience in digitizing the processes and products of global customers since 1996, brings academic excellence, university knowledge, and entrepreneurial practice to the partnership. The company, which employs approximately 4,700 people, operates internationally with headquarters in Germany and subsidiaries in the USA, Mexico, the UK, Romania, India, and China.
The partnership is designed to bridge academic research and commercial implementation of quantum computing solutions within Baden-Württemberg’s innovation ecosystem. The initiative aims to promote comprehensive knowledge and technology transfer among the participating organizations, identify and evaluate scientifically and economically relevant use cases for quantum technologies, and support the transformation of scientific insights into viable business models that generate tangible economic value.
MHP also aims to raise awareness of security-critical risks from quantum computing and support companies in introducing quantum-resistant solutions like post-quantum cryptography. Quantum computers pose significant security risks due to their ability to break today's encryption methods like RSA or ECC in a few years.
Rebecca Vlassakidis, the Spokesperson for Digital Factory, Logistics & Customer Experience at MHP, and Benjamin Brodbeck, the Head of Press and Public Relations at MHP, are available for further information and queries regarding the partnership. For newsroom updates, visit www.mhp.com/newsroom.
Notably, MHP advises Porsche AG on various digital transformation fields, including Customer Experience, Workforce Transformation, Supply Chain, Cloud Solutions, Platforms & Ecosystems, Big Data and AI, Industry 4.0, and Intelligent Products. QuantumBW, on the other hand, plans to expand its existing network into a comprehensive quantum innovation ecosystem in Baden-Württemberg.
The long-term goal of the partnership is to establish Baden-Württemberg as a leading location for quantum technology innovation. MHP's goal is to drive the transfer of quantum research into industrial practice, focusing on concrete application problems and creating real added value.
