Pixalate's Q2 2025 Report Exposes Widespread Click Fraud in North American Digital Ads

Pixalate's latest report reveals significant click fraud issues in North America's digital advertising landscape. The Q2 2025 North America Click Fraud Benchmarks Report highlights specific ad sizes and platforms most affected by invalid traffic (IVT).

On desktop web, the 970x250 ad size bore the brunt of click fraud, with data centre-based IVT accounting for 53% of invalid clicks. Meanwhile, mobile apps saw the 320x50 ad size most impacted, with 35% of all mobile app traffic clicks deemed invalid in Q2 2025.

Pixalate's technology maps clicks to impressions, identifying IVT. Notably, 19% of desktop web traffic clicks and 51% of invalid mobile app clicks were flagged for video click fraud IVT. The report covers desktop web, mobile web, and mobile in-app advertising, offering regional insights for LATAM, EMEA, and APAC alongside North America.
