Polestar 3's Driving Dynamics Impress in Frozen Lake Test
Polestar 3, the latest electric SUV from the Swedish automaker, has been put through its paces by journalists on a frozen lake in Jokkmokk, Sweden. The production of this highly anticipated model has just begun.
The Polestar 3, with its Scandinavian-inspired design, impressed journalists with its driving experience. They praised its steering, balance, and handling, likening it to a mid-engine car. A key factor in this impressive performance is the dual-clutch torque vectoring system (TVDC) developed by BorgWarner. This system enables rapid torque distribution to each rear wheel, up to 100% side to side, ensuring optimal traction and precise handling, even on challenging terrains.
The TVDC was put to the test by rally driver Pontus Tidemand, who pushed the Polestar 3 to its limits on the icy lake. Customers can now configure their own Polestar 3, with production having started last week.
The Polestar 3 has exceeded expectations with its driving dynamics and handling, thanks in part to its advanced TVDC system. With production underway and customer configuration now available, the Polestar 3 is set to make a significant impact in the electric SUV market.
