Prepare, Galaxy device owners: One UI 8 Beta is scheduled to roll out for additional devices next week
Samsung Expands One UI 8 Beta to More Devices
In an exciting development, Samsung has announced that it will be rolling out the One UI 8 beta to a wider range of Galaxy devices starting from August 11.
The update, scheduled for release next month, will bring a refreshed Quick Share UI for easier file sharing, advanced multimodal capabilities, and intuitive AI experiences to Galaxy users. It will also deliver motivational health features and a more refined, intuitive interface.
The eligible devices for the rollout include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6. However, Samsung has also announced that the One UI 8 Beta program will expand to include the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A35 5G in September. The Galaxy Tab S10 series, including the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, will also be part of the expanded beta rollout.
The update will add new features to Samsung's core apps, such as Samsung Health, Reminders, Routines, Internet, Calendar, Contacts, and more. It will also integrate more of Galaxy AI into devices and offer additional accessibility options for users with sight and hearing impairments.
Samsung has also hinted at expanding the One UI 8 update beyond the new Galaxy Watch 8 series later this year. The stable version of One UI 8 will start with the Galaxy S25 series and then gradually extend to more devices beyond the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 later in the year.
It's worth noting that the Beta version of the software will only be available for users who've signed up for the beta program via the Samsung Members app. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE have already launched with a stable version of One UI 8.
This expanded beta rollout is expected to start in September 2025, with users able to join via the Samsung Members app in supported regions.
