Rapid Expansion of AI Agents Foreseen in Key Russian Corporations as Perced by VTB Predictions
In a significant announcement at the Kazan Digital Week - 2025, Vadim Kulik, Deputy President and Chairman of VTB, declared that by the year 2030, major companies in Russia will integrate AI agents into their processes.
These AI agents, according to Kulik, will solve a variety of tasks for both employees and clients of companies. They are expected to become as common as household gadgets, capable of making decisions, choosing optimal scenarios, and acting autonomously without user involvement.
Kulik also noted that AI assistants may find particular demand among the elderly, emphasising the need for adapting these digital systems for interaction with various users, including those who are not very technologically savvy.
The top manager concluded that the introduction of AI agents represents a new mass technology. The press service of VTB reported these statements.
Between 2020 and 2025, the first Russian companies to integrate AI agents into their processes have been agile startups in the cybersecurity and defense sectors. These companies, such as Secfix, have been developing advanced cyber defense tools and drone technologies, responding quickly with iterative AI-driven solutions.
The most advanced AI agents, including self-learning androids with universal intelligence and adaptive behaviour, are expected within the next two years. These AI agents will interact with each other to solve tasks and will be based on large language models.
However, the mass introduction of AI agents will require significant development of IT infrastructure and may increase the load on existing communication networks. They will be used for both internal company processes and serving clients.
In Russia, the use of AI agents is becoming a main trend in the technological landscape, with companies developing their own solutions, ordering exclusive ones, and integrating third-party developers' boxed solutions. These AI agents will be used to handle tasks in companies, making them indispensable tools for the future of Russian businesses.
