ReliaQuest Launches GreyMatter Transit for Real-Time Threat Detection

ReliaQuest has introduced GreyMatter Transit, a new real-time threat detection tool within its GreyMatter platform. This innovation aims to address industry concerns about data volume, storage costs, and lengthy detection times.

GreyMatter Transit positions detection closer to where data is in motion, processing and analysing security data in real-time. This enables automated threat detection and response, helping security administrators act before harmful activity occurs. Modern attackers can move laterally within networks in as little as 20 minutes, making swift detection crucial.

Gopal Padinjaruveetil, CISO at The Auto Club Group, highlighted the need to accelerate detection workflows in the face of increased automation in cyber threats. GreyMatter Transit provides security teams with more control over data movement and analysis, potentially lowering data storage costs. It shifts away from conventional SIEM-based detection, which can delay threat identification.

ReliaQuest's GreyMatter Transit, launched in 2023, serves over 1,000 customers and employs 1,200 staff across six global operating centers. By processing data in real-time, it helps security teams respond to threats more swiftly and efficiently, addressing industry concerns about data volume, storage costs, and protracted detection times.
