Remote Management Capabilities Extended to LynTec LCRP Devices
LynTec, a leading provider of innovative power control solutions, is set to introduce a series of exciting updates aimed at enhancing the capabilities of its DMX-controllable products. The updates include a new 20 Amp Dual Output DMX Relay, expansions to Remote Device Management (RDM) capabilities, and an expanded power control portfolio [1].
At the heart of these enhancements is the new 20 Amp Dual Output DMX Relay, designed to deliver advanced lighting control for professionals. The relay is just one of the innovations LynTec plans to showcase at InfoComm 2025, where the company will highlight its expanded power control portfolio, including integrations with Juice Goose, aimed at improving control and automation solutions [3].
LynTec's push into DMX and RDM technology is set to encompass more robust power control combined with increased remote management and monitoring capabilities, essential in professional lighting and audiovisual setups. Mark Bishop, president of LynTec, emphasised the importance of these updates, stating that the addition of RDM makes the lives of installers and systems operators easier [2].
RDM allows installers to identify and control devices without needing detailed knowledge of each device's configuration. LynTec has already added RDM to its Lighting Control Relay Panels (LCRPs), with the LCRP-12 being the latest model in its lineup to receive this enhancement. The LCRP-12, like other LynTec products, is designed to make the lives of installers and systems operators easier [2].
The LCRP-12 is a compact, 1-square-foot NEMA 1R or 3R enclosure that includes under- and over-voltage sensing for brownout and voltage spike protection. It features individual step delay between each relay, emergency off by circuit and emergency on for lighting by circuit, and can be added to existing automation systems. RDM also includes a number of widely used preconfigured personalities for fast setup [2].
The LCRP-12 is DMX-compatible and can be set up via an LED display. It comes with four, eight, or 12 30-amp, single-pole latching Panasonic relays. LynTec plans to extend the RDM feature to the rest of its DMX-controllable products in the near future [2].
With these updates, LynTec reaffirms its commitment to providing energy-efficient, versatile, and highly controllable power and lighting solutions for AV professionals [1][3]. The company currently boasts a portfolio of 25 AI-Enabled AV Products, with the LCRP-12 being its latest addition.
