Restructuring of Flat6Labs into F6 Group; introduction of F6 Ventures to invest in early-stage startups

F6 Group, a new organizational structure by Flat6Labs, has been unveiled, integrating the region's leading startup accelerator platform with a new venture capital arm called F6 Ventures. This dual structure aims to strengthen early-stage startup support across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

At the heart of F6 Group is F6 Ventures, a dedicated seed-stage investment firm managing six funds with over $90 million in assets under management (AUM). With a portfolio spanning more than 300 startups, F6 Ventures focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage funding, addressing a critical gap in capital availability at these early phases of startup development in emerging ecosystems of the MEA region.

The leadership team of F6 Ventures includes industry veterans such as Dina el-Shenoufy, who serves as CEO of F6 Group and General Partner at F6 Ventures, Ramez El-Serafy, a co-founder of F6 Ventures, Eyad Albayouk, Ryaan Sharif, Rasha Manna, Walid Triki, and Christine Namara. This team brings decades of experience in venture capital and ecosystem building across the MEA region.

The launch of F6 Group marks a strategic evolution after 14 years of Flat6Labs’ activities. With a renewed focus on ecosystem development and program delivery, Flat6Labs will continue to run its accelerator programs and founder support initiatives under F6 Group. Flat6Labs will remain active across several markets, while F6 Ventures will concentrate on funding.

F6 Ventures plans to back over 200 startups, with a focus on the pre-seed and seed stages. The brand new Africa Seed Fund, targeting $85 million with a cap at $100 million, is designed to boost early-stage investments on the continent. Yehia Houry has been appointed as the CEO of F6 Group, while Hany Al Sonbaty serves as Chairman.

F6 Ventures is headquartered in Cairo, with offices in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Tunis, and Nairobi. This reorganization reflects a commitment to helping startups scale from idea to impact with focused capital and entrepreneurial support. The new structure of F6 Group allows it to offer startups both capital and hands-on support, signalling a shift towards deeper involvement in early-stage funding across the MEA region.
