Return of Prolight + Sound 2022: Pursuit of a Sustainable Future
After two long years of restrictions, the event industry is making a comeback, and Prolight + Sound is ready to lead the way. Scheduled from April 26th to 29th, 2022, this year's event promises to be a celebration of innovation, sustainability, and the power of live events.
The event will be divided into thematic segments: ProLight, ProAudio, ProMedia, ProStage, and ProEvent, each showcasing the latest advancements in their respective fields. The area of theater and stage technology will have a special focus, with key players like ADJ, Area Four Industries, Ayrton, and many more showcasing their specialized theatrical solutions in Hall 12.0.
The Sound Experience Hub, a fully equipped presentation area, will host workshops covering streaming, podcasting, and digital content production. Visitors can also immerse themselves in 3D and spatial audio environments in the Audio Demo Rooms. The Studio Lab in Hall 11 offers acoustically separated rooms for workshops and product demos related to music production, instrument miking, and mastering. A new addition this year is the Studio Village, a dedicated exhibition area for studio production and recording solutions, located in Hall 11.1.
Sustainability is a key theme at Prolight + Sound 2022. Companies and associations will present their green initiatives and underline their commitment to sustainability. A Green Event Day will take place on April 27, focusing on the responsible use of natural resources. The Future Hub, redesigned using resource-saving and recyclable materials and powered by 100% green electricity, will host the Start-up Area for young companies, the Campus powered by VPLT for educational institutions, and the Career Center for job seekers.
The Prolight + Sound Conference lecture series will focus on professionalization in all trades of the event industry, with a special emphasis on expertise and best practices transfer during turbulent times. The trade show will highlight that ecological action and spectacular visitor experiences can go hand in hand.
The Sound Experience Hub also serves as an indoor sound arena for sound reinforcement solutions under real-life conditions. The Live Sound Arena allows visitors to experience the sound of large PA systems on an open-air site. A new Theater + Light Stage in Hall 12.0 will feature a specialized lecture program and product demos. The Audio Demo Rooms and the Studio Lab provide opportunities for visitors to immerse themselves in the latest audio and music production technologies.
