Ricardo's RFC500 Fuel Cell Module Gets AiP for Cleaner Maritime Operations
Ricardo, a global engineering and environmental consultancy, has received Approval in Principle (AiP) from Lloyd's Register for its fuel cell module, RFC500. Currently, the module is undergoing testing at Ricardo's Shoreham Technical Centre in the UK. Meanwhile, Ricardo's expert, Trevor Downes, will discuss the sHYpS project and fuel cell technology at the upcoming Electric and Hybrid Marine Expo 2024.
Ricardo will showcase its multi-stack hydrogen fuel cell solution at stand 9090 during the Electric and Hybrid Marine Expo 2024. This technology was developed by Ricardo as part of the Sustainable Hydrogen Powered Shipping (sHYpS) project, aiming to support decarbonisation across the maritime industry. Trevor Downes, a Ricardo expert, will delve into the sHYpS project and fuel cell technology during his presentation on Wednesday 19 June.
