Schneider Electric introduces its latest industrial innovation, Industrial Copilot, featuring Aurelien LeSant.

Schneider Electric, a leading company in energy management and automation, has made a significant stride in the industrial automation sector with the introduction of the Industrial Copilot. This AI-powered assistant was unveiled at Hannover Messe 2025, as part of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform.

The Industrial Copilot stands out from other industrial AI copilot technologies due to its strategic integration with Schneider’s EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform (EAE) and its focus on engineering and code generation phases. Unlike many standalone AI copilots, Schneider’s Copilot is embedded as a software module within EAE, enabling seamless, context-based engineering augmentation and integration across Schneider’s full suite of automation software.

One of the key differentiators of the Industrial Copilot is its ability to significantly reduce development time. By automating code generation, intelligent test case creation, rapid comprehension of legacy code, and analysis of process documentation and automation structure, the copilot can cut development time by 30-50%.

Another unique aspect of Schneider Electric’s Industrial Copilot is its domain-specific and proprietary industrial data. Unlike generic AI assistants, the copilot is trained on deep industrial expertise and proprietary data, enhancing accuracy and relevance in complex industrial environments.

Schneider Electric's Industrial Copilot is co-developed with Microsoft, emphasizing a vendor-agnostic, domain-trained, and context-aware assistant tailored specifically for automation engineering tasks. The copilot operates using Microsoft's Azure AI infrastructure, further underscoring its vendor-agnostic approach.

The Industrial Copilot is more than just a productivity enhancer; it is a domain-trained, context-aware assistant. By leveraging Schneider Electric’s deep industrial expertise and proprietary data, the copilot offers a level of accuracy and relevance that sets it apart from other industrial copilot technologies.

Schneider Electric claims that the Industrial Copilot enables manufacturers to reconfigure production lines in hours or days instead of weeks or months, improving operational agility. This strategic evolution of Schneider Electric's commitment to open software-defined automation (SDA), a vendor-agnostic approach pioneered by Schneider Electric over four years ago, promises to revolutionise the industrial automation sector.
