South Korean public will first experience Apple's Gangnam store this coming March 31st
Apple has expanded its presence in South Korea with the launch of its latest retail store, Apple Gangnam, located in the heart of the bustling Gangnam district. The store, which will welcome its first visitors on Friday, March 31 at 5 p.m. local time, is Apple's fourth store in South Korea, following Apple Garosugil, Apple Myeongdong, and Apple Jamsil at Lotte World Mall.
Last year, Apple made waves in Pohang with the launch of the Apple Developer Academy and Apple Manufacturing R&D Accelerator. These initiatives aim to foster local talent and drive innovation in the tech industry.
Apple Gangnam, designed with a unique double-height facade featuring a gradient frit and mirrored coating, incorporates materials sourced from the region. The tables, wood feature wall, logo, facade glass, stone walls, and flooring all reflect the local aesthetic.
The store's grand opening will be celebrated with a curated Apple Music playlist and a bespoke collection of movies and TV series on Apple TV. Apple Pay, which launched in South Korea last week, will be available for use in all five Apple Store locations.
Apple has always been at the forefront of innovation, revolutionizing personal technology with the introduction of the Macintosh in 1984. Today, Apple leads the world with iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, offering seamless experiences across its five software platforms: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
In line with Apple's commitment to sustainability, Apple Gangnam and its operations in South Korea run on 100 percent renewable energy and are carbon neutral. This commitment to the environment is a testament to Apple's dedication to creating a better, greener future.
Registration for the opening day visit at Apple Gangnam starts on March 29 at 8 a.m. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the latest in Apple innovation and sustainability.
