South Korea's Enhans AI agent secures a place in the global top 3 in AI benchmark competition

Enhans, a South Korean startup specializing in vertical commerce AI agents, has made a significant stride in the global AI landscape. The company's AI model, ACT-1, recently ranked third in the prestigious Online Mind2Web benchmark, placing it among the world's leading AI firms.

The Online Mind2Web benchmark evaluates AI agents on their ability to perform complex tasks on the web, emulating human behavior. The evaluation covers 300 real-world tasks across 136 actively operating websites. ACT-1, a behavior-based AI model designed for web automation, demonstrated its potential by executing sophisticated actions such as clicking buttons and navigating menus.

Enhans' CEO, Lee Seung-hyun, expressed the significance of being alongside global AI leaders. He emphasized the company's aspiration to lead the global market in vertical industries and strengthen the development of its web AI agent technologies. To achieve this, Enhans plans to evolve ACT-1 into a next-generation AI agent by integrating imitation learning.

Unlike conventional approaches, ACT-1 uses a document object model-based method to directly access and manipulate webpage structures. This unique approach allows ACT-1 to perform tasks traditionally limited to human users.

In the rapidly growing agentic AI market, Enhans is well-positioned to capitalize on key trends. The market, with a strong focus on customer engagement, product discovery, personalized marketing, real-time offer optimization, and service resolution agents, is expected to reach tens of billions in value by 2025.

Future plans for startups like Enhans are expected to leverage these broader trends in agentic AI. This includes deepening integration across omnichannel retail formats, expanding AI capabilities beyond web-based agents into embodied AI applications, and embracing more autonomous, decision-capable AI agents.

As Enhans continues to enhance AI-driven vertical commerce solutions, it is poised to maintain and grow its competitive edge within these expanding domains. The company aspires to differentiate itself from global AI firms and secure a unique competitive edge in the global market.
