SpaceX Appoints Kagiso Khaole as Starlink's Africa Growth Manager, Kits Now Available in Kenya with Major Discount
SpaceX has appointed Kagiso Khaole as growth manager for Starlink's internet service in Sub-Saharan Africa. Meanwhile, Starlink's residential kits are now available on Jumia's platform in Kenya, with a substantial discount making them more accessible.
Kagiso Khaole, who previously led Starlink's expansion across 25 African markets and served as general manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at Uber, has been recruited to drive growth for the service in the region.
Starlink's basic residential kit, which includes a satellite dish, mounting tripod, and Wi-Fi router, is now available on Jumia's platform in Kenya. The kit, usually priced at $662, is currently discounted by 55%, making it more affordable for Kenyan residents. The discount is available for a limited time, ending in mid-May. Starlink has been promoting this offer extensively on Kenyan social media platforms.
With Kagiso Khaole at the helm, Starlink aims to expand its reach in Sub-Saharan Africa. In Kenya, the discounted Starlink kit is now within reach, thanks to the partnership with Jumia. Both companies aim to enhance lives and drive economic development through accessible internet.
