SpiNNcloud Systems Unveils SpiNNaker2: World's Largest, Most Efficient Real-Time AI Supercomputer
Dresden-based DeepTech startup SpiNNcloud Systems has revealed the commercial availability of its groundbreaking AI platform, SpiNNaker2. This high-performance computer, developed as part of the European Union's Human Brain Project, is set to revolutionise real-time artificial intelligence.
SpiNNaker2, hailed as the world's largest and most energy-efficient supercomputer for real-time AI, is the brainchild of SpiNNcloud Systems. It's the culmination of years of research and collaboration with TU Dresden and other international partners. The platform is built on principles inspired by the human brain, offering unparalleled flexibility in neural supercomputing.
The first customers to experience SpiNNaker2 will be a select group, including renowned Sandia National Laboratories. They will receive initial systems in 2024, ahead of the full production availability in the first half of 2025. These early adopters will explore applications like human-machine interaction in realistic industrial environments.
SpiNNcloud Systems received a significant boost with a 2.5 million euro grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC) for this project. The company aims to deliver SpiNNaker2 initially as a cloud platform solution in the second half of 2024.
