Organizing Esports Globally: BLAST Expands to the Big Apple

Esports heavyweight BLAST is jumping headfirst into the U.S. market, setting up shop in New York City to boost its presence in North America. Known for powering major tournaments such as BLAST Premier and FNCS, BLAST plans to establish their new HQ in the heart of the Big Apple in 2025.

The Big Apple base serves as BLAST's North American base, allowing the company to coordinate logistics, content, and local partnerships more effectively. This move makes it a breeze for BLAST to stage more tournaments right here in the States.

Chief Business Officer Leo Matlock will be relocating from the Danish capital to helm the expansion, speaking about the move with enthusiasm:

”Yo, we’re pumped to bring top-tier esports events to the States this year and get in bed with national and local partners. This move is part of our global expansion efforts for 2025, with offices opening in India and the U.S. We aim to create a ripple effect, positively impacting every region we touch.”

With eyes set on North America, BLAST is beyond ready to form relationships with regional partners, sponsors, and fans, expanding their event roster and increasing brand visibility.

The shift comes as BLAST ramps up their event calendar worldwide. With plans to run 15 international LAN tournaments next year, they’ll be smashing their way into the scene with the BLAST.tv Austin Major, their second CS Major in the U.S. BLAST has previous experience working with popular titles like Rocket League, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, and Dota 2.

By setting up leadership on the ground, BLAST is signaling their intentions to become ottch (sic) with regional players, brands, and fans, gunning for serious growth in the U.S.

Get your tickets, folks. These events are bound to be lit!

As BLAST sets up leadership in New York City, they aim to establish stronger relationships with regional players, brands, and fans, signaling their ambition for significant growth in the U.S. This expansion also means more sports (esports) events will take place in the United States, making it easier for fans to attend top-tier tournaments.
