Springfield Armory's Echelon 4.0C Comp 9mm: Compact, Optics-Ready & Affordable
Springfield Armory has announced the release of the Echelon 4.0C Comp 9mm pistol, set to hit the market in August 2024. This compact, concealed-carry friendly handgun comes with a range of features designed for ease of use and quick acquisition.
The Echelon 4.0C Comp boasts a 4-inch barrel and an overall length of 7.25 inches, making it easy to conceal. It weighs 24 ounces unloaded and comes with a 15-round magazine. The pistol is equipped with Springfield's U-notch rear sight and a tritium-vial front sight for low-light visibility. Its standout feature is the Variable Interface System (VIS), which allows for easy mounting of optics.
The Gideon Optics Granite green-dot sight, with an 8-MOA dot in a 28.3x22.5 mm window, is a perfect match for this pistol. It's designed for both competition and defensive use and comes with an array of mounting screws, a low-profile Picatinny-style mount, tools, a battery, and a cleaning cloth. The pistol's single port compensator helps reduce muzzle flip, improving accuracy and control.
The Echelon 4.0C Comp fits into standard Compact holsters and has an MSRP of $749, with a significantly less price difference than $100 compared to the non-compensated version. A dedicated appendix-carry kydex holster with a claw to reduce printing and an optics cut is available for an additional $5 and $10 respectively. The JM Custom Kydex Quick Ship AIWB Wing Claw 2.5 holster for the Echelon 4.0C Comp has an MSRP of $75.
The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C Comp 9mm pistol, with its compact frame, quick acquisition sights, and easy optic mounting, is a compelling choice for concealed carriers. Its competitive pricing and availability of compatible holsters make it an attractive option for those looking for a reliable, concealable sidearm.
