Swiss Fedrok AG Launches $20K Grant for African Blockchain Developers

Swiss blockchain firm Fedrok AG has launched a $20,000 grant for African developers. The aim is to foster creation of blockchain-based micro-transaction platforms, enhancing financial access in underserved regions of Chad and Niger.

The grant, open to Africa-based developers or teams with blockchain or fintech experience, challenges applicants to design and build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) on the Fedrok Blockchain. The MVP must support peer-to-peer transactions, function on low-bandwidth mobile networks, integrate with Fedrok's blockchain, and be accessible to users with limited digital literacy.

Applications, due by June 1, 2025, should include an executive summary, technical approach, development timeline, team profiles, budget breakdown, and deployment strategy. An orientation session is scheduled for May 23, 2025. Selected developers receive $20,000 in funding, mentorship, access to development tools, and opportunity for ongoing collaboration.

Fedrok AG, a leader in integrating environmental and social impact into Web3, seeks innovative solutions to financial access barriers in Chad and Niger. The grant is part of their commitment to sustainable blockchain infrastructure and carbon credit tokenization.
