Trend Micro and Google Cloud Strengthen Partnership for Secure Multi-Cloud Transformation

Trend Micro and Google Cloud have expanded their strategic partnership, focusing on enhancing AI-powered cybersecurity tailored for complex multi-cloud, hybrid, and sovereign cloud environments. This initiative combines Trend Micro’s cybersecurity expertise with Google Cloud’s advanced cloud infrastructure and AI capabilities to secure critical workloads while supporting data sovereignty and digital trust at scale.

The collaboration emphasizes an AI-first approach to cybersecurity, integrating Trend Micro's specialized defenses with Google Cloud’s native security tools. This enables enterprises to accelerate cloud transformation securely and scale confidently amid the evolving AI landscape.

The partnership supports hybrid and multi-cloud environments by accommodating both public and private cloud models, addressing enterprise demands for flexibility and dynamic cloud usage. Organizations can now access Trend Micro's Vision One platform and Trend Vision One Sovereign and Private Cloud offering via Google Cloud Marketplace to streamline deployment.

Trend Micro's products such as Trend Micro Cloud App Security and ScamCheck now leverage Google Cloud's advanced AI capabilities. For instance, the ScamCheck app now utilizes Google Cloud's Gemini models through Vertex AI for capabilities such as verifying images and SMS content used by scammers.

This expanded alliance also aims to deliver a multi-cloud, AI-first environment supporting sovereignty requirements, proactive security, and protection against online scams. The partnership is particularly beneficial for organizations in highly regulated markets, as it helps optimize security and compliance.

Karan Bajwa, President of Google Cloud Asia Pacific, commented that by extending Google Cloud’s native security with Trend Micro's specialized defenses, organizations can accelerate their cloud transformation journeys. Chris Zamagias, ANZ Head of Partnerships at Trend Micro, emphasized Google Cloud’s leadership in AI, data analytics, and flexible cloud infrastructure, which complements Trend Micro’s cybersecurity offerings.

Bharat Mistry, Field CTO at Trend Micro, stated that Google Cloud has accelerated as the most in tune with real-world demands. This expanded partnership is expected to provide organizations with greater flexibility and control over their sensitive data across public, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
