Tech partnership announced: Simbian teams up with Wipro to develop AI System-on-Chip technology
In a significant move, global consulting and IT services company Wipro Limited has partnered with AI security organization Simbian. This collaboration aims to bolster Wipro's CyberShield managed security services capabilities with Simbian's advanced AI SOC Agent technology.
The partnership combines Wipro's global scale and industry expertise with Simbian's AI-driven automation. Siva Vrs, President & BU Head - Technology Practices, Cybersecurity & Risk Services at Wipro Limited, stated that the partnership will provide clients with unparalleled detection and response capabilities.
Wipro's CyberShield offering, which already provides managed security services with AI-powered solutions to protect business operations, will now be augmented by Simbian's technology. The integration of Simbian's technology into Wipro's CyberShield platform is seen as a testament to the transformative power of Simbian's technology.
Key capabilities of CyberShield include Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Exposure Management (XM), Modern Work Security, and Cloud and Network Security. CyberShield MDR identifies threats before they impact the business and speeds up response times with AI-powered, automated SOC services and security processes. CyberShield XM provides continuous preemptive threat exposure management and control validations to enhance defenses and maintain security posture. CyberShield Modern Work Security secures identity and access to data and applications via a Zero Trust infrastructure without compromising user experience.
As part of the strategic collaboration, Wipro Ventures will make an investment in Simbian. Wipro will also join the Simbian Partner Program to facilitate closer integration and achieve synergies in the go-to-market strategy.
Isaac Lujan has taken over the position of Global VP of Channel and Partnerships at Simbian. Ambuj Kumar, Simbian's CEO and co-founder, expressed his excitement about partnering with industry leader Wipro. He believes that this partnership will help Simbian to scale its technology and reach a wider audience.
