Telepathic Instruments' Orchid Digital Polysynth Launches Oct 10
Telepathic Instruments is set to launch Orchid, a unique digital polysynth, on October 10, 2023. The synth, priced at $649 including shipping, is designed to inspire creativity and experimentation. It will be available worldwide in a limited release, starting at 10am local time in CET and PST time zones.
Orchid's standout feature is its chord generation system, allowing musicians to manipulate and playback chords creatively. The synth boasts three distinct engines: virtual analogue subtractive, FM, and vintage reed piano emulation. It also comes with a companion plugin, Pistil, for deep sound editing and MIDI control in DAWs.
The synth offers a range of features, including onboard effects, a separate bass synth engine, built-in speakers, and a rechargeable battery. It is the brainchild of Kevin Parker, who envisioned it over a decade ago, and was designed by Ignacio Germade, a co-founder of Telepathic Instruments alongside Parker, Chris Adams, Charl Laubscher, and Tom Cosm.
Orchid, with its innovative chord generation system and versatile synth engines, is poised to make a mark in the music world. Its limited release on October 10, 2023, is eagerly awaited by music enthusiasts and professionals alike.
