Tesla Supercharger outcome in Canada: Two victories secured in the recent contest

Tesla's Supercharger Voting initiative, which allows community participation in deciding the locations of future charging sites, has announced the winners of its latest round. In this round, 18 new sites will join Tesla's charging network, including locations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

To participate, Tesla account holders can log into their accounts and cast up to five votes for locations they think would benefit from new Supercharger stations. The voting system has been active since 2022 and runs every quarter, aligning Tesla’s charging infrastructure expansion with actual user demand worldwide.

In Canada, two locations have been chosen as winners: Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Alberta, Canada, has a total of 12 Supercharger sites up for voting, including multiple locations in Calgary and Edmonton, and in the far reaches of the province in Grand Cache, Athabasca, Bonnyville, and more. Unfortunately, there are no Supercharger sites up for voting in Saskatchewan or Manitoba in this round. In British Columbia, four new Supercharger sites are up for voting: Langford, Courtenay, UBC, and Prince Rupert.

In the United States, Tesla will add Superchargers in Gardiner, Montana; Walla Walla, Washington; Willow Springs, Missouri; Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Prosper, Texas; Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; Sandy Springs, Georgia; and Wesley Chapel, Florida.

The Supercharger Voting initiative does not provide incentives or rewards for using a referral link to participate. New Superchargers will also be coming to Siheung, South Korea; Sydney West, Australia; Kumiyama, Japan; Istanbul West, Turkey; Sopron, Hungary; Monza, Italy; Strymoniko, Greece; and Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.

Quebec continues to be a dominant force in the Supercharger voting process, with the province accounting for several winning locations in previous rounds. The Supercharger Voting initiative does not currently include sites in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

Tesla's Supercharger Voting initiative allows participants to suggest new locations in addition to casting votes. The next round of Supercharger voting is already live for owners and fans to cast their votes at tesla.com/supercharger-voting. By participating, you can help shape the growth of Tesla’s charging network and ensure that charging infrastructure meets the needs of Tesla owners worldwide.
