Tesla's New Model 3 Long Range RWD Offers Record 750 km Range in Australia and New Zealand
Tesla has introduced the Model 3 Long Range RWD in Australia and New Zealand, promising the longest news yet for the region. The new variant offers an impressive 750 km range, just shy of the Model 3+ launched in China earlier this year.
The previous record-holder for range in this segment was the Polestar 3 Long Range Single Motor, with 706 km. The outgoing Long Range AWD Model 3 had a range of 629 km. The new Model 3 Long Range RWD's range can be further boosted to 691 km with optional 19-inch Nova wheels.
Tesla has also increased the battery pack size of the latest Model 3 Long Range to approximately 82 kWh. The flagship Model 3 Performance now offers a range of 571 km, thanks to a bigger battery pack as well.
Priced from $61,900 AUD, the new Model 3 Long Range RWD sits between the entry-level Model 3 RWD and the discontinued Long Range AWD. With a WLTP-rated range of up to 750 km, it's a significant upgrade for Tesla customers in Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, the indicator stalk has returned to the Model 3, reversing a previous design change.
