Tesla Unveils 2025.14 Spring Update, Enhancing Full Self-Driving Capabilities and Recording Features

Tesla has announced the release of its 2025.14 Spring Update, bringing a host of new features and improvements to its Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities, camera recording, and user interface.

The update introduces FSD v13 upgrades, which include enhanced AI video inputs at 36 Hz, native AI4 neural network architectures, and substantial scaling in data and training compute. These improvements aim to deliver better driving performance, with smoother tracking, improved collision avoidance, and integrated parking maneuvers such as unpark, reverse, and park. The update also offers speed profiles on city streets and highways, dynamic routing that detects and displays road closures via fleet data, and reduced latency from photon detection to control, improving responsiveness.

In terms of recording capabilities, the Dashcam and Sentry Mode have received significant enhancements. Side cameras (B-pillar) are now included in Dashcam and Sentry recordings. The Dashcam Viewer app has been updated with a grid view for easier clip review. Additionally, Dashcam playback features include adjustable playback speed and options for video size (fill screen or original).

The update also introduces several functional improvements. A new "Keep Accessory Power On" feature, keyboard updates, and improved camera cleaning mechanisms are part of this release.

The 2025.14 update is available on multiple Tesla models equipped with MCU Ryzen hardware and AP versions up to AP4, including Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X variants, and the Cybertruck.

Looking ahead, Tesla plans to introduce further enhancements, including 3x scaling of model size and context length, audio inputs to better detect emergency vehicles, improved reward predictions for navigation, handling of false braking and slow driving in parking lots, and support for complex destination options like driveway or garage parking.

This update marks a substantial leap in Tesla's FSD system and overall vehicle user experience, enhancing the autonomous driving experience, recording capabilities, and UI functionality.
