Town of Hettstedt offers up to 250 Mbps own wireless internet access
Deutsche Telekom Expands High-Speed Internet Service in Hettstedt, Germany
Deutsche Telekom AG has announced the launch of a new high-speed internet service in Hettstedt, Germany. This service, offering a download speed of 250 Mbit/s and an upload speed of 40 Mbit/s, is now bookable at www.telekom.de/schneller.
The expansion of the network in Hettstedt has been made possible by the installation of new system technology in gray boxes at the side of the roads. As a result, approximately 6,106 households in the city now have access to this faster WLAN speed, with an additional 52 households benefiting from the upgrade.
Besides Hettstedt, Telekom has also expanded its 250 Mbit/s network to the cities of Leipzig, Dresden, Chemnitz, Freiberg, and Jena.
