Toyota's New Aygo X Hybrid: More Space, Better Dynamics, Same Affordability
Toyota is revving up for the successor of its popular Aygo city car, set to debut as the Toyota Aygo X Hybrid by the end of 2025. The new model will not share 'French' siblings like its predecessor and will be built on the GA-B platform, promising more space and enhanced driving dynamics.
The Aygo X Hybrid will sport a quirky style with strong influences from the Yaris, featuring a slightly raised ride height. Power will likely come from a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to either a five-speed manual or CVT transmission. Notably, the successor will only be offered with petrol power, marking a shift from the current model.
Toyota aims to keep the price affordable by producing around 500,000 units a year in Europe, all sharing the same platform. The hybrid drive system is expected to deliver 116 horsepower and CO2 emissions as low as 85 g/km, demonstrating Toyota's commitment to eco-friendly mobility.
The Toyota Aygo X Hybrid, set to launch at the end of 2025, promises more space, improved driving experience, and enhanced safety, all while keeping the price affordable. With its unique styling and hybrid powertrain, the new Aygo X Hybrid is poised to make a significant impact in the city car segment.
