TVW Public Affairs Broadcast overhauled by Keycode Media
In a groundbreaking move, Keycode Media has implemented a new workflow design for TVW Washington's Public Affairs Network playout system. This innovative setup, centred on PlayBox Neo solutions, aims to create a flexible, reliable, and customised multi-channel playout environment.
The heart of this system is the AirBox Neo playout servers, with a total of 12 channels integrated directly with TVW’s third-party trafficking system. This seamless automation allows for playlist scheduling weeks ahead of time, with the added flexibility to make changes while on-air.
The system also includes TitleBox Neo for interactive character generation (CG), ListBox for schedule creation and real-time editing, Live Ingest for editing content as it is ingested, and Multi-Backup Manager (MBM) to ensure multi-channel redundancy and reliability.
This setup empowers TVW to manage a constantly changing playlist, update graphics on the fly, and handle a high volume of varied programming, covering all state government branches and related public affairs content. The design showcases the flexibility of PlayBox Neo’s platform, enabling seamless communication between all control tools in master control.
Moreover, the PlayBox system controls the network's NVision 9000 router, streamlining live productions to allow the insertion of live streams into the playlist. The new workflow utilizes the AirBox Neo servers for playout, and PlayBox Neo is proud of the seamless communication with all tools in master control.
The PlayBox Neo complement has replaced TVW's existing automation and server setup in master control, demonstrating the flexibility of the PlayBox Neo platform. AirBox Neo can mix a variety of media files and live inputs in one playlist, making it an ideal solution for TVW's complex requirements for live and file-based playout workflows.
The new workflow, powered by PlayBox Neo solutions, demonstrates the flexibility of its platform, as it seamlessly communicates with all control tools in TVW's master control. This setup features AirBox Neo servers, which manage a constantly changing playlist, update graphics on the fly, and handle a high volume of varied programming.
Data-and-cloud-computing technology integrated within PlayBox Neo's platform enables tight collaboration between its products, such as TitleBox Neo, ListBox, Live Ingest, Multi-Backup Manager, and NVision 9000 router, streamlining business operations and ensuring the reliability and customisation of TVW's multi-channel playout environment.
