The CZ Shadow 2 Carry, a new compact pistol, has been unveiled at the NRA membership meeting in Atlanta. This latest addition to the CZ Shadow family is designed for a long service life, low weight, and versatility, making it an ideal choice for daily carry, defense, and even hunting.
The CZ Shadow 2 Carry is an update to the CZ Shadow 2 Compact, which was primarily designed as a defensive weapon and for concealed carry. The pistol boasts a Double-Action trigger and excellent ergonomics, particularly in terms of grip angle and shape. The frame is made from a forged EN AW-T 7075 6 aluminum alloy, ensuring durability and lightness.
One of the standout features of the CZ Shadow 2 Carry is its standard fixed sights, which can be used as a backup and for co-witnessing. The slide release is enlarged and more grippy for easier operation, and the pistol is compatible with red dot sights that have the Shield RMSc or Holosun K footprint. The optics sit closer to the bore axis, enabling higher precision and more intuitive aiming.
The CZ Shadow 2 Carry refines the concept of the Shadow family, which traces back to the legendary CZ 75 pistol from the 1970s. The pistol is in 9mm Luger caliber and is described as "born from sport, tailored for EDC." It features a decocker, a safety notch on the hammer, and an automatic firing pin block for safety.
The cold hammer-forged 102 mm barrel of the CZ Shadow 2 Carry comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and loss of precision. The pistol has a 15-round magazine capacity and weighs around 900g. Its dimensions (LxWxH) are 191 mm x 35 mm x 138 mm, making it suitable for concealed carry.
The CZ Shadow 2 Carry is primarily intended for daily (concealed) carry, also allowed for many civilian gun owners in the US and the Czech Republic. The brand ambassador of the CZ Shadow 2 family and nine-time IPSC world champion is Maria Gushchina.
