Upcoming Zero Zero Robotics Drone Boasts 100% Waterproof Design and Wind Resistance up to Level 7, Outsizing DJI's Offerings
Zero Zero Robotics' HoveriAir Aqua: A Game-Changer in Waterproof Drones
Zero Zero Robotics, a company known for its pioneering work in drone image quality, has unveiled its latest innovation - the HoveriAir Aqua. This waterproof drone is designed to be launched directly from water, making it a unique contender in the drone market.
The HoveriAir Aqua boasts a 100% waterproof design, with over 15 waterproofing adaptations such as a hydrophobic, anti-corrosive nano-coating, lightweight titanium components, and a self-heating body to prevent freezing or water damage. These features ensure that the drone can operate smoothly even in aquatic environments.
One of the standout features of the HoveriAir Aqua is its ability to take off and land on water. This capability, combined with its wind resistance of up to 38 mph (61 km/h), makes it suitable for fast-moving water activities and moderately windy conditions.
The drone is equipped with a 1/1.3" CMOS sensor capable of shooting 4K video at 100 fps, enabling high-quality, ultra-smooth slow-motion capture ideal for watersports and action shots. Its eye-catching orange colour makes it easier to detect against the sky and body of water during flight.
Weighing under 249 grams, the HoveriAir Aqua stays below the FAA’s pilot license requirement threshold for drones, promoting easier use and compliance. It also holds an IP67 waterproof rating, meaning it is dust-tight and can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
The HoveriAir Aqua is set to rival and sometimes surpass its competitors, such as the DJI Neo and DJI Flip. For those interested in the drone, updates can be signed up for on Zero Zero Robotics' official website.
Zero Zero Robotics has made a name for itself in the drone scene despite DJI's dominance. The company's previous successes include the HoverAir X1, the first usable selfie drone introduced to the market two years ago.
In the near future, another exciting development is expected from Antigravity, an Insta360-spinoff, which is set to reveal the world's first 360-degree drone.
