Revamped FSA Gradient Line: A Game Changer for Enduro, Trail, and Downhill Riders

Get ready for an epic update from Full Speed Ahead (FSA)! They've given their popular Gradient line of components a massive overhaul, now catering to trail, enduro, and downhill enthusiasts. The revamped range includes wheels, cranks, bars, and stems, boasting a sleek black tone-on-tone logo and undergoing extensive development with pro riders from the renowned Atherton Racing Team.

FSA's 2025 Gradient Lineofferings

FSA kicks off the redesign of their collection in 2023, handling design, testing, and production in-house. Let's take a closer look at the new products in the Gradient line:

  • The range includes i30 carbon wheels, carbon and alloy riser bars, stems, and more.
  • A minimalist black tone-on-tone logo is featured in the redesign, which incorporates FSA's famous three stripes.
  • Collaborating with pro riders such as the Athertons and Charlie Hatton, the products lean heavily on CNC machining for their aluminum construction.

Terrain-Adaptive i30 Carbon Wheels

Our review kicks off with the new 29-inch i30 carbon wheels, featuring 24mm depth, 37mm width, and 30mm internal diameter. They're outfitted with Power Ratchet System (PRS) X-900 hubs, delivering 72-point engagement and enhancing power transfer and acceleration. An intriguing aspect of the Gradient i30 wheels is their 22-24mm variable rim height, said to improve "adaptability to different terrains." These wheels are priced at £1,499.

Strength and Durability in Gradient Crankset

A new DH and Enduro crankset - the Gradient Crankset Modular 1X DM is under the spotlight. It's available in 165, 170, and 175mm lengths, and with 30, 32, 34, and 36t options. Made from CNC-machined aluminum, the crank arms are anodized for durability. FSA claims a 40% increase in strength compared to their KFX cranks. The Gradient alloy crank arm can be yours for £399, with the chainring priced at £134.99.

Carbon and Alloy Handlebars

FSA has also given its handlebars an overhaul, offering both carbon and alloy options. You can choose between 35mm and 31.8mm options, with several rise options, ranging between 20-40mm depending on the model. Available in 2025, the Gradient Alloy Riser bars will set you back £99.99, while the Gradient Carbon Riser bars will cost £184.99.

Precision and Strength: Direct Mount Stems

Two exciting new stems are joining the lineup this year - the OS35/31.8 STD and the Direct Mount stems. The former is available in 33mm, 45mm, and 50mm lengths, and works with 1 1/8in steerers. The latter, designed for E-MTB cockpit stiffness, features an adjustable length of 45-50mm, 5mm stack spacer, and a no-gap faceplate. Constructed from CNC-machined aluminum, both stems carry a price tag of £99.99.

All these components are available now from FSA dealers. Head over to fullspeedahead.com for more details!

In the revamped FSA Gradient Line, enduro, trail, and downhill riders can expect enhanced performance with the introduction of technology-driven helmets, a vital safety feature in sports. Such helmets could feature advanced ventilation systems, impact-absorbing materials, and integrated camera mounts to further elevate the rider's experience.

Additionally, the updated FSA crankset, such as the Gradient Crankset Modular 1X DM, demonstrates strong and durably crafted components made for sports, with CNC machined aluminum parts contributing to increased strength and improved power transfer during intense rides.
