Vizrt unveils TriCaster Vectar integration; TriCaster now accessible via AWS Marketplace

In a move that promises to revolutionise cloud-based live productions, Vizrt's TriCaster video production tools are now available on the AWS Marketplace. This digital catalog for software that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers a seamless experience for testing, purchasing, and managing these products within customers' accounts.

This development comes following Vizrt's qualification as a certified AWS Media & Entertainment Competency partner. This accreditation ensures that Vizrt's live production and media asset management (MAM) solutions meet the strict standards and best practices of AWS. Last year, Vizrt also received AWS ISV Accelerate accreditation.

AWS customers can now leverage their committed cloud spend to enjoy reduced travel, transport costs, and carbon emissions with cloud live productions. The qualification was granted to support the AWS Marketplace launch, further strengthening the partnership between Vizrt and AWS.

The customers using the TriCaster production tools from Vizrt in their AWS account management include multiple broadcast and media companies, although specific customer names are not publicly disclosed. Davide Cortassa, the product manager for Cloud Live Production at Vizrt, leads the charge in this exciting new venture.

Two TriCaster products are now available in the AWS Marketplace: TriCaster Vectar and TriCaster Now. TriCaster Vectar, previously known as Viz Vectar Plus, is a video production system for larger news and sports productions that supports up to 44 external sources. On the other hand, TriCaster Now supports up to 8 inputs and caters to smaller seasonal or entry-level productions and corporate town halls.

Customers are responsible for managing AWS costs associated with TriCaster Vectar. However, TriCaster Now provides a fully managed software-as-a-service (SaaS) with a simple usage-based credits pricing model, making it an attractive option for those with smaller budgets.

TriCaster Vectar can be deployed in customers' AWS accounts for free as a fully functional watermarked version for testing. More information about these products can be found on Vizrt's website.

The AWS Media & Entertainment Competency partner program promotes AWS Partners that demonstrate technical expertise and customer success in specific areas. This qualification validates and promotes Vizrt's technical expertise and customer success in specific areas related to AWS.

By choosing Vizrt's TriCaster tools on AWS, customers can expect a more sustainable and cost-effective approach to live productions, all while enjoying the benefits of AWS's robust cloud infrastructure.
