Washington D.C. to Witness New Broadcasting Venture with Broadcast Management Group's Studio Launch
Broadcast Management Group Opens State-of-the-art Studios in Washington D.C.
Broadcast Management Group (BMG) has announced the opening of two new full-scale broadcast studios in Washington D.C., addressing a long-standing gap in professional-grade studio space in the city. These studios, located in Upper Northwest D.C., minutes from Capitol Hill, the White House, and all three major airports, consist of two purpose-built broadcast studios plus a live shot insert studio designed for daily, high-caliber multi-camera live productions.
The studios offer a wide range of programming formats, including daily talk shows, political commentary, pre- and post-game programming for sports leagues, live executive communications for corporate brands, daily news broadcasts, branded and experiential content for agencies, and more. They are equipped with advanced production capabilities, including Virtual Set and Augmented Reality (AR) production, and accommodate multi-camera live productions suitable for news, talk, and other live formats requiring high production values.
The studios can accommodate a live audience of up to 150 people. They are equipped with attached control rooms, green rooms, dressing rooms, and full camera, grip, lighting, and audio equipment for professional broadcast production. In addition, they provide graphics and editing suites, satellite, fiber, and VoIP connectivity, access to multiple control rooms, Master control/playout, Media Asset Management, Zero Density Virtual Set technology, Evertz routing, Ross XPression and Zero Density graphics, Grass Valley switchers, and global transmission capabilities.
For years, D.C. has lacked professional-grade studio space following the closure of legacy facilities, such as Atlantic Video and The Newseum. This new expansion by BMG will help fill that gap.
Todd Mason, CEO of Broadcast Management Group, stated that Washington, D.C. is the perfect home for the broadcast network operations center and these studios. "We're excited to bring these state-of-the-art facilities to the nation's capital," he said. "We believe they will be a valuable asset to the local broadcast industry and to our clients who require high-quality, live production capabilities."
Clients can choose between production-only support (infrastructure and crew) or full creative production, which includes show development, directing, graphics, and post. Studio bookings are open now for 2026 and beyond. The facility includes private entrances, on-site parking, and in-house security.
In addition to the Washington studios, BMG is also building an insert studio at its new Las Vegas location. Broadcast Management Group offers a wide range of managed services to networks, film studios, agencies, and corporations.
In 2024, Broadcast Management Group produced 1,900 shows and 2,500 hours of live programming. With the addition of these new studios, BMG is poised to continue its growth and expand its offerings to clients in the Washington D.C. area and beyond.
