Wesel Police Offers Free E-bike/Pedelec Training & Coding This Fall

The Wesel Police Department is hosting free E-bike/Pedelec training sessions during the fall holidays. These sessions aim to educate participants on safe and responsible riding, as well as provide an opportunity for police coding of their vehicles.

The training sessions, lasting approximately three hours, will take place at various schools across the region. They will begin with a theoretical introduction, followed by a Pedelec simulator reaction test, and conclude with a practical training session using participants' own E-bikes or Pedelecs.

Participants can also have their Pedelecs police-coded during the sessions, provided they bring along their purchase documents. This coding helps ensure the security of the vehicles and makes them less likely to be stolen.

Registration for the training is mandatory and can be done via phone at 0281 / 107 - 7777 or email at [email protected]. The upcoming sessions are scheduled for:

  • Monday, 13.10.2025, at the Willi-Fährmann-Gesamtschule in Xanten
  • Wednesday, 15.10.2025, at the Adolf-Reichwein Grundschule in Moers
  • Thursday, 16.10.2025, at the Grundschule Schermbeck
  • Tuesday, 21.10.2025, at the Ida-Noddack GS in Wesel
  • Friday, 24.10.2025, at the Gesamtschule Hamminkeln
  • Friday, 17.10.2025, at the Gesamtschule Hiesfeld in Dinslaken
  • Wednesday, 22.10.2025, at the Grundschule Alpen

The Wesel Police Department encourages all E-bike and Pedelec owners to take advantage of these free training sessions. By doing so, participants can enhance their riding skills, ensure the safety of their vehicles, and contribute to a more secure cycling community.
