The Antigravity A1's design results in an "invisible drone effect," where the aircraft disappears from the footage, providing immersive spherical footage without visible drone interference. The drone's dual fisheye lenses, positioned on the top and bottom, capture 8K 360-degree video at 30fps (5.7K at 60fps).
The A1 boasts a flight time of up to 29 minutes per battery and a transmission range of around 4.3 miles. It also offers substantial operational flexibility with automatic horizon lock, real-time video stitching, and up to 7 km transmission range.
The drone's intuitive controls are aimed at users without piloting experience, enabling easy point-and-fly operation. It is controlled using a Grip controller that operates similarly to a Nintendo Wii remote, and a dedicated app with clip editing and reframing tools for quick sharing.
The A1 includes standard safety features like return-to-home and obstacle avoidance. It also features dedicated obstacle avoidance sensors on the front and bottom, improving flight safety in typical forward and downward directions. The drone will also include a payload detection system that automatically lands the drone if it detects a heavy payload, designed to prevent misuse, such as dropping harmful objects.
The Antigravity A1 will be launched as part of a set that includes immersive OLED FPV goggles and the Grip controller for enhanced creative control and an immersive flying experience. The equipped goggles create an immersive experience, letting the user turn their head freely while maintaining course. The Vision goggles allow for independent viewing, separating flight direction from viewing angle.
