Xela Robotics Unveils GelSight Mobile 4.2: Faster, Smarter, More Compatible

Xela Robotics has rolled out GelSight Mobile 4.2 (GSM 4.2), a significant software update for its GelSight probes. The release in 2021 brought enhanced features and improved compatibility.

GSM 4.2 introduces One-Click AutoOffset, automating offset calculations and surface compensation for swift, reliable results. This update also introduces full support for the Modulus hardware platform, enabling seamless integration with GelSight's modular system.

The new software version, GSM 4.2, is designed for use across GelSight's Mobile, Max, and Modulus probes. It comes with advanced automation tools, enhancing imaging and tool performance. Users can expect improved stabilization for S2 devices and refined 2D tool variants.

A new Calibration Plate, FBG-250 Modulus, has been introduced. This addition improves accuracy and usability in advanced applications.
