Xiaomi Unveils HyperOS 3: A New Look for Smartphones
Xiaomi has unveiled HyperOS 3, its latest user interface update, set to transform the look and feel of its smartphones. The first wave of updates is just days away, starting with the Xiaomi 15 series and select Redmi and Poco models.
HyperOS 3 introduces a fresh, interactive lock screen with animated watch designs that harmonise with the wallpaper. The update also brings a new design inspired by the iPhone's Dynamic Island, displaying live information such as music playback, charging details, and calls next to the camera.
The update, several gigabytes in size, will roll out in phases from October 2025 until March 2026, covering over 20 Xiaomi smartphones, tablets, and wearables. This includes recent models like the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi MIX Flip, Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, and upcoming devices such as the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro. Users can check for updates by navigating to phone settings, tapping 'About phone', and clicking the Xiaomi HyperOS logo.
HyperOS 3 runs on Android 15, 14, or 13, and introduces new animations throughout the system for a smoother user experience. Xiaomi has ensured that almost all its smartphones from the past few years will receive the update quickly. Despite the update's size, users can continue using their phones during the download and preparation process.
The HyperOS 3 update brings a sleek, dynamic design and enhanced user experience to Xiaomi devices. With a phased rollout until March 2026, users can expect to see these changes on a wide range of Xiaomi smartphones, tablets, and wearables in the coming months.
