XRP surpasses Bitcoin in utility, claims CEO - Reasons outlined below:

XRP from Ripple might outshine Bitcoin in versatility, according to Teucrium CEO, with Sistine Research suggesting a possible 1500% leap, putting the price between $33 and $50.

XRP surpasses Bitcoin in utility, claims CEO - Reasons outlined below:

Ripple's XRP could well be a better long-term investment than Bitcoin, according to Teucrium's CEO Sal Gilbertie. In a recent Bloomberg interview, he asserted that XRP has a 'true use case', making it a better 'utility' play.

This came shortly after Teucrium launched a 2x Long Daily XRP ETF (XXRP), a product that defied the bearish market conditions and garnered significant inflows, reaching $40 million in net assets, making it the first leveraged U.S. XRP ETF.

The Utility of XRP

Gilbertie's belief mirrors Standard Chartered's Head of Digital Assets, Geoff Kendricks, who recently revealed that XRP could explode 600%, reaching $12.50 in the next three years. He noted that XRP was 'uniquely positioned' for the cross-border payments use case.

Ripple is pushing ahead with this vision, having recently acquired Hidden Road, a prime brokerage firm. The acquisition aims to leverage XRP and its stablecoin, RLUSD, for cross-border payment and trade settlements.

However, Kendrick's $12.5 prediction seems conservative compared to Sistine Research's estimate that the altcoin could climb to $33-$50 by 2027, representing a potential price rally of 1500-2500%.

The Future of XRP

Crypto research firm Sistine Research suggests that XRP's price action follows a pattern similar to the breakout after the consolidation in 2014-2017. If this pattern holds, XRP could exceed $30 in the next two years.

Despite this optimistic outlook, XRP's address activity slowed in 2025 and has yet to regain momentum. This delay in network traction could hamper XRP's strong price recovery.

On the daily price chart, XRP hit a new April high of $2.3 but has since retreated to a previous bearish-bullish order block at $2.1. The rally could continue in the short term if bulls defend this level as support and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains above 50. Otherwise, bears could push the price below $2 again.

In a separate survey, we asked if DEXE could retrace to $10.92, and whether this is a buying opportunity. Share your thoughts below!
